For their Spring 2025 catalog, Portland State University has begun offering an experimental course exploring the inner workings of OnlyFans, a social media site in which users can create a variety of paywalled, usually pornographic content. The site has over 305 million users worldwide, with two-thirds of those users being male.
The visiting instructor for this course is OnlyFans celebrity, Sonia T. Ingham, also known by her handle, @fantasticfeet, where she posts short ASMR videos of her oiled-up toes stroking various surfaces. She offers longer clips for those willing to pay up to $200 per month — and has dozens of subscribers who do. In addition to her OnlyFans expertise, she holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Stanford, where she enjoyed a full-ride (ha-ha) scholarship, and a master’s in economics from Princeton. Through her college career, she worked at a local strip club on the side, saving up money. It was here, amidst the lewd, unsolicited comments from many a thirsty old man, that her love for sex work was born.
PSU’s new course will teach students how to start an account, build a following, schedule content and monetize their god-given assets.
“I mean, I consider it a true talent to be able to fit those giant yeti dildos from Spencer’s up there,” Ingham said. “It even took me a long time to master, especially holding them in with my toes, but some of these kids are real naturals.”
Currently, 43 curious students are enrolled in the course, hoping to expand their career horizons into the flourishing field of sex work. We had the deep pleasure of speaking with several of them.
“This is a truly titillating opportunity,” said Ilov Tofuc ’28, who made his college decision based on the expanding variety of course offerings in this field, “I’ve sent out 4 pairs of sweaty shorts so far — for $150 apiece.”
“I was hard-pressed to say no,” said Eva Goodhead ’26, who joined the course in order to gain professional experience in a field she previously only dabbled in. “And the syllabus? ‘Lingerie Ripping 101,’ ‘Reverse Cowgirl and You,’ ‘Deepthroating for Dummies’? Literally gagged.”
Due to the ever-rising costs of a college education, students are often left footing the costs of textbooks, therapy vibrators (as opposed to professional use), living expenses, car payments, cigarettes, and, depending on the amount of aid they receive from the school, individual classes.
“Many college students need a side hustle, a source of extra income to pay for the unnecessarily expensive textbooks,” Ingham said. “And the weed has been expensive ever since Nectar stopped accepting food stamps as payment.”
Students widely agree with Professor Ingham.
“Cost of living is expensive nowadays,” said one student who selected to remain anonymous but disclosed their OF username
(@seemepounded). “I can hardly afford the materials for my videos, but I know it will pay off. I just bought my first Sybian. I’m saving up for a fuck machine.”
The course will offer hands-on (and sometimes in) work experience to anybody interested in online sex work. If the course continues to do well in the following semesters, PSU may erect a more permanent, explicit section of the course catalog.
